Aesthetics Training Courses

The Graham Webb Academy Aesthetics training courses, conducted at our new
state-of-the-art aesthetics training facility, provide you the knowledge and skills
required to thrive as an aesthetician. And it’s available through flexible schedule
options to suit your lifestyle.

The aesthetics training courses are also designed to help you meet and exceed the aesthetic license requirements in the State of Virginia. In fact, Graham Webb Academy offers two courses to complement the state of Virginia’s new two-tier system: Aesthetician (600 hours) and Master Aesthetician (600 hours). Additionally, we offer graduate classes for licensed aestheticians on weekends.

Aesthetics Training Programs

600-Hour Course

Aesthetician Course:
This 600-hour program uses theory instruction, practical exercises, and clinic experiences to give students a solid foundation in the basic concepts of aesthetics. Along with aesthetic concepts and basic skills, students learn the regulations associated with the aesthetics industry. In this course, you will learn the following procedures:

  • Manual facials
  • Machine facials
  • Makeup
  • Waxing
  • Body wraps
  • Body treatments (mud wrap, paraffin, exfoliation)
  • Galvanic current facials
  • High-frequency facials
  • Skin diagnosis
  • Special occasion makeup

2010 Basic Aesthetics Start Dates

  • January 19

Master Aesthetician Course

Prerequisite: 600-hour Aesthetician course or a 600-hour license from another state.

This 600-hour program builds on our Aesthetician program and uses theory instruction, practical exercises, and clinic experiences to give students a solid foundation in advanced aesthetics principles and practices. Along with aesthetic concepts and advanced skills, students learn the regulations associated with the aesthetics industry. In this course, you will learn the following procedures:

  • Manual Facials
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Salon management
  • Principles of Medical Professional Interaction
  • Lymph drainage manual/machine
  • Skin treatments using advanced mechanical and electrical devices
  • Chemical exfoliation
